What's new at St.Matt's this autumn

New Term New Service Times
This autumn we are launching a New Evening Service – the 7 O’clock service. It will be contemporary in style, mission focused and authentically St Matt’s. We hope the service will appeal to all those passionate about going deeper into God.
We want it to be a place of real welcome and community that those on the edges of faith will find appealing.
The 5 O’ Clock Service
The new evening service means our more traditional evening service is moving to a new time. The 5 O’ clock service is for those who prefer something more traditional. Like all our services it will be friendly and welcoming.
Tea will be served before the service from 4.30 and we are already planning some special events for our Sunday evenings this autumn, so watch this space for more news. We hope the earlier service time will really work for those who find the dark evenings difficult in winter.
If you like something quieter and connect with more traditional music, accessible liturgy and friendly welcoming people this may be just the place for you!
The 10 O’clock service
With all this change isn’t it good that some things stay the same. 10 O’clock is the time for our main morning worship service. It’s informal and friendly with a special program for children.
Our theme this term is going to be “living prophetically” and we are going to be taking a look at Elijah and Elisha in the Old Testament Book of Kings. Come along for great worship and relevant teaching; you will be made very welcome.
You can find out when our services are on from the Services page.
Alpha
We hope to run two Alpha courses this autumn, one on Tuesday evenings and the other after the breakfast café on a Friday morning.
This is a really great way to find out more about Jesus, and the Christian faith. If that is something that interests you, or might be relevant for someone you know, why not get in touch with Jess and Gill Fuller who run the Alpha program at St. Matt’s?
