This summer we are following the story of Moses through our 10 o'clock services.

 

Summer mission focus

Many of our church members are volunteering at various summer missions or visiting our mission links over the summer holidays.

 

Are you involved in any ministry over the summer?

If so please let us know, no matter how big or small, so that we can support you in prayer.

The Sunday service talks can now be listened to on the site.   The most recent talks have quick links on the right of the home page, and a fuller list can be found under the Services section of the site.

 

Christmas Present for Pat in Peru

Pat has had some exciting news over Christmas - they have a new building for the Shalom Project in Lima.

 

Urgent Help needed at Calverley Hill Girls Hostel

Drivers are needed at 6:30pm Monday and Wednesday evenings to fetch a box of food from Marks & Spencer and deliver to the Calverley Hill Girl's Hostel (off Church Road).



 

Creche Help Needed

We need extra volunteers to help with our Sunday creche, either to help regularly or on a more ad-hoc basis.

Congratulations to our youth worker, Ali and Hannah as they tied the knot on Sunday 1st November.

 

Ray Riddall

It is with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that our churchwarden Ray Riddall passed away on  Monday 12th October following recent illness.  

Please keep Christine and their family in your prayers at this time.


 

Is this it? New Alpha course available now!

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day or weekend away.

We have a new Alpha course currently running on Tuesday evenings.

The course are open to all.


 

What's new at St.Matt's this autumn

As we settle in to our autumn programme, there are lots of new and exciting things happening at St.Matt's over the next few months.
 

enCounter Culture featured in local newspaper.

enCounter Culture, the youth ministry at St.Matt's church has been featured in the Courier newspaper.
 

In Brief

Julie Sewell is still collecting used postage stamps (British and foreign) for the Leprosy Mission.  Please read the newsletter on the church noticeboard which thanks us, as a church, for our contributions and shows what a big difference the stamps make.

St.Matts School are collecting Sainsbury's vouchers.  If you would like to give yours to the school, then please see Cindy.
