In Depth: Mission Partners - Extra giving
12 Jan 2010
As a church, we commit ourselves to giving an annual amount in support ofour mission partners.
Currently we are aware that two of our mission partners have particular needs and we wanted to give individuals the opportunity to respond to these needs if you so wish.
As you may have heard Pat Blanchard, who works in Lima, was able to purchase a school building ("Shalom") for the ministry for disabled children to be able to use. This exciting development will enable continued expansion of the ministry and will obviously need extra finance.
Ted & Christina in Montpellier, France are rejoicing in the arrival of their baby Sophie just before Christmas; they would like to be able to get a car both to aid getting around with a baby, but they also feel it would be of huge benefit in their ministry with the students.
If you would like to give to either need, please give direct to the church office or in an envelope in a service collection, labelled with either "Ted and Christina - Car" or "Pat - Shalom". We can collate the gifts and send an earmarked cheque to the right places. Also, becuase it makes a real difference if donations can be gift aided, please could you write "gift aid" on your envelope if you are happy and able to do this. Thanks.
If you want further information please fo chat to Steve and Isabel Broadie (Ted & Christina) or Mary Wilson (Pat).
