Lent is a time of reflection, as we prepare and look towards the good news that Easter brings. We’ve found Lent to be an encouraging and valuable time, both as a church and as individuals, and we’d encourage you to join us as we gather together as a church and reflect this Lent.
Below has details of various resources that you might like to use individually, as a family or in a pod.
40 acts (40acts.org.uk)
Rather than just giving up stuff for Lent, 40acts encourages us to live Lent generously, with a daily reflection and a suggestion of something that you can do each day to be generous and bring change to those around you.
40 acts family wallchart
If you fancy doing something together as a family, then this fantastic wallchart is a great resource to print out and hang up at home. It has a generous act for each day through Lent that works for all the family.

Hungry for God
During Lent we are holding two evenings for informal worship and prayer, giving us time to seek the presence of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. These will take place on Tuesday 23rd February and Tuesday 8th March, 7.45-9.15pm, in the church.
Everyone is welcome.
Other resources for Lent
Our Lent booklet
Last year we produced a small collection of daily reflections for Lent, written by members of St.Matt’s. The dates may be for 2014, but if you haven’t read it before then you can get some from the back of church.
Jars of Change
Support Water Aid’s Jars of Change this Lent by donating what you save from giving up a luxury to help bring water to villages in Ethiopia.
